Samantha,

Thank you very much. I understood you fine and I really appreciate your words. Love is key, and as I have progressed through this life I realize more and more how essential it is. Rio de Janeiro is a beautiful city that I will always remember...I had many memorable experience there. And though I have now moved away to pursue other directions in life, its joy will always remain with me. Thank you again for your kindness.

Seth hi, my name is Samantha, I am a carioca da gema, loved the text, do not know why I just read this blog and I found magnificent congratulations.

Congratulations on the attention he has the initiative, for your patience with our city, you look good, despite all the bad things.

I lived in Sao Paulo, and even with the traffic that is common there, I found a city super neat, clean and very pretty, even without the beach, but something that really upset me was the lack of simplicity, people do not go to a party, either with the clothes you have or you have there for fun, here in Rio de Janeiro, friendship is worth a lot, meet people who love each other and also the opportunity to meet new people and become friends rather inseparable.
Here we love, we are happy and try to help those in need, and we have the simplicity and humility gushing of the soul.

Much still has to change here, but in the end I think the affection of the people to the planet we live on is missing around the world, love is lacking, missing everything, and other issues, but we must love people like you do not tomorrow and do everything well and always try to love the beauty of being a lifelong learner, and yet I know that life should be better and will be, but it does not I repeat that she is Beautiful, beautiful and wonderful .

Congratulations once again Seth and good luck on your walk.
Godspeed.

P.S sorry my bad english, I used a translator for some words, I hope you understand.

Hi Seth.

I think that learn the language is very important , but make friends can be better than learn the language, because it's will help you to live in Rio and not just speak.

I do not live in Rio, but I love this place and I usually go to the Rio once every three months and I had a expirience in a place without friends and family...I know how it's not so good, and so ask if you need of some help.

Good lucky

Excellent text, is always a surprise to see Brazil through the eyes of a foreigner. We stopped to look at how the simple things of our day to day become important...

Cris,

Thanks for your comment. No doubt in my mind that I need to learn Portuguese. But that will take time...slowly I learn. But it is a good experience--removing the veil of words and seeing people as they really are. It is especially startling what one finds out about oneself. Keep enjoying the world my friend.

Hi Seth,
I'm a Brazilian expat living in New Zealand, and I guess you're learning the hard way the basic rule when moving countries: you gotta speak the language! At least the basic.

The story with the little girl is lovely! And I truly believe that when we get to the point of being human, it would be the same anywhere else in the world.
But if you really want to adapt in Brazil, I'd suggest you to learn Portuguese, then I'm sure you'll find all that warmth Rio is famous for.
